Glance Upon Your Shadow

With my whole being I reach out into the void
One touch from you is all I need
A singular glance, a simple graze of your skin
To release me from this maze of existence
To unshackle me from this twenty four seven rinse and repeat cycle
Free me from my mind’s oppressive hold
I’m ensnared on an interminable road to you
I know you are there in the distance
Yet none of the five here can justify
How deep into this desolate chasm must I reach
No distant is too great
If only to glance upon your shadow.
