Heart Staring

I left my heart
Staring at the door
Waiting for the nob to turn
And me on the other side walking
In the other direction
Because I was still out searching
For that which would calm
The voice in my soul screaming

I have to set it free
But very viscerally
I also feel what I’m losing,
Lost…
If only there were two of me.
