I hold on to my faith
Like a buoy
Riding life’s rough seas
Paddling through obstacles
To finish my journey

I too often think about death
But I’m no longer afraid
Of it coming for me
I understand that as day follows night
Death stalks life and eventually
Everyone pays life its fee

So I continue regardless
And I offer no apologies
For listening to my heart when it speaks
Telling me to live life completely.
