So be it
If this is to be my reality
I’ll get comfortable
To walk the empty
Streets of desire
For my heart to weather time
Until it considers love a fable

My heart remains open
And even hopeful
But if that is written
On the walls of the fates
Then the tale of my love is chosen
So be it
