Your Silhouette

-A woman's back in black and white, silhouette vividly standing out in memory, secrets etched in mind.

If it was anyone else
All I would see in this darkness
Are the curves of your silhouette
But images of you
Are so vividly burnt into my memory
That the more the lights dim
The clearer those pictures get
I see you completely and remain amazed
Tonight I’ll give my sight a rest
I won’t need it to retrace your body’s secrets
Across the plains of your silhouette
A journey I’m increasingly willing to take.
