Lower Your Guard

Lower your guard
And let me love you
Unburden yourself of the past
Welcome in a future
I’ve spent time fighting my demons
To find a peace that nurtures
Calming my own soul
And whoever else it touches
If your intention is to receive
To love and be loved
And not break what I’ve built
I’ll invite you in
There’s space enough for two
