Who Wins?

“It could all be so simple”
Simply exchange love
For love in return
But we all make it hard
Lifting our egos above the flames
While everything else burns
At every corner another faction
Pulling on the corners of reality
It’s only a matter of time
Until what remains
Become irreversibly torn
And when that happens
Who wins?

Hovering above oblivion
Mutually assured destruction
It’s us against them
We’re right
They’re wrong
They don’t understand
And while the snake eats its tail,
What is happening…?
