Fueled By Faith

Image of Charcoal and wood burning in a fire, symbolizing determination and faith to overcome doubts and fears.

Standing in faith
My back against the flames
Bridges set ablaze
No going back from where I came
The steps forward are not entirely clear
But I feel the adrenaline from the excitement
I won’t deny the lingering fear

My will drags me forward
Through the dark alleys
That tries to trap me in mental despair
A doubtful haunting
“Once again you have failed”

The bridges are burnt
To fight forward
Is the only option from here
A warning to my ghosts that remain
To stay out of my way
My will drags me forward
My faith fuels me toward my fate.
